Role Summary
The Forming Operator is an entry-level production role responsible for operating and monitoring forming equipment under direct supervision. This position supports the manufacturing process by assisting with machine setup, performing routine quality checks, maintaining production flow, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The Forming Operator develops foundational technical skills while learning company processes, equipment functions, and production requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Operate forming equipment according to established work instructions and supervisor guidance
- Assist with basic machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers as directed
- Load raw materials (wire, bar, or other forming stock) into machines and ensure proper material flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with 5S standards
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and machine guarding requirements
- Support preventive maintenance activities as directed
- Assist in material handling, packaging, and labeling of finished goods
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs
Qualifications Required
- Education: None
- Experience: 0–2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills and ability to use simple measuring tools
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to work under direct supervision

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and walking
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35–50 pounds as required
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, oil, and moving machinery
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and use measuring tools
- Visual acuity to inspect parts and read production documentation
