Form Builder (Dallas, TX) - Austin Bridge & Road

Austin Bridge & Road is a leader in the heavy highway and transportation industry, delivering asphalt and concrete services and building landmark projects such as complex highway interchanges, tollways, runways, bridges, rail projects, and water/wastewater facilities for over 100 years.

About the role

The form setter/builder is responsible for building and setting forms in accordance with plan specifications and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Build forms according to plan specifications
• Set forms on line and grade
• Understand proper safe use of power tools
• Know and understand finishing tools such as bull float (mop), straight edge, screed, and hand floats
• Concrete placement and finishing within plan specifications
• Follow instructions and assist with concrete placement and finishing
• Traffic control and installation of erosion control devices
• General site clean up
• Follow safety policies and procedures
• Work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs, including days, nights, and weekends
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in construction
• Strong commitment to jobsite safety
• Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
• Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States (no visa sponsorship available for this position)
