Forklift Technician - Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Repair a wide range of material handling equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, utility vehicles, floor care equipment and more.
• Do preventative maintenance and repair work on the customers fleet within a specific coverage area.
• Act as the point of contact between the company and our customers and represent the company in a professional light as you provide the best in mechanical services and customer service.
• Manage your job as though it were a small business, dispatched to jobs from your home using a company van and coordinating and reporting on your jobs via a laptop.

Specific Duties

• Actively support, promote and lead safety initiatives.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Work safely at all times and report any unsafe work or work environments to management.
• Troubleshoot customer equipment problems and confer with and get approval from the customer before making repairs.
• Maintain your own parts inventory based on the parts you carry in your van.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork.
• Provide the best possible customer service, including offering additional Wiese services, added-value items and equipment based on potential customer needs.
• Manage your workload effectively.
