Forklift Spotter

CEIS Power is seeking a motivated individual with 6+ months of experience working around forklifts, heavy equipment, or material handling operations within an industrial and outdoor (yard) environment. This is a contract-to-hire position with an industrial manufacturing and service company.

Requirements

• Minimum 6+ months of experience working around forklifts, heavy equipment, or material handling operations
• Experience working in outdoor industrial, manufacturing, construction, or yard environments
• Ability to safely communicate and direct forklift and equipment operators in congested work areas
• Strong awareness of surroundings and commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work in extreme heat and varying weather conditions for extended periods
• Experience with forklift operation preferred
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies at all times

Responsibilities

• Act as the eyes and ears for forklift and heavy equipment operators during material movement activities
• Guide equipment operators through manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and yard environments to ensure safe maneuvering
• Monitor surrounding personnel, equipment, and obstacles to prevent accidents and property damage
• Communicate clearly with operators regarding clearances, hazards, and traffic conditions
• Support loading, unloading, staging, and movement of materials throughout the facility and yard
• Assist with material handling activities as required to support production and logistics operations
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed and qualified
• Maintain safe work zones and ensure compliance with company safety procedures
• Perform routine inspections of work areas and report unsafe conditions immediately
• Support warehouse, shipping, receiving, and general yard operations as assigned
