Forklift Operator (Weekday Nights)

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Forklift Operator/Material Handler ensures product is moved within the warehouse safely and efficiently by operating a forklift and physically loading/unloading trucks. You will maintain proper inventory, uphold good housekeeping and warehouse standards, and collaborate with the team to prevent line stoppages and improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to move finished products to the warehouse or onto trucks for distribution to customers.
• Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain the energy source for the lift.
• Operate, change over, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance on palletizing equipment.
• Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment, including performing safety inspections and audits as required.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
• Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate tracking of inventory within the facility.
• Follow standard work policies and procedures.
• Work as a team with other forklift drivers to prevent line stoppages and improve operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Forklift operations experience is required.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, and place up to 25 pounds of inventory as needed.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Schedule

Shift Rotation - Weekday Nights:

• Week 1: Monday – Wednesday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
• Week 2: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Pay

$20.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift differential; 7% target quarterly bonus.
