About the role
Ryder is hiring Sit Down Forklift Operators in Jackson, Tennessee. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path that prioritizes safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Auditing, staging, and loading/unloading of products and trucks.
- Handling paperwork in a warehouse environment, including picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
- Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during peak production hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
- A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An ability to work in a diverse work environment.
- A high degree of initiative and accuracy.
- The ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
- A good attendance record.
- The ability to work on flexible schedules.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
- Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.

Pay
Hourly Pay: $17.25 per hour
Overtime Pay: $25.88 per hour
Additional Pay: $1.00 shift differential when working Night shift.
Schedule
Night shift 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (2-2-3 schedule) rotating weekdays and weekends.
