About the role

Golden State Foods is one of the largest diversified suppliers in the food industry, manufacturing sauces, dressings, condiments, syrups, and toppings for leading restaurant and retail brands. The Conyers facility produces over 1 billion pounds annually. We are hiring a Forklift Operator to support production and warehouse operations, operating stand‑up forklifts for material movement, inventory control, and shipping/receiving activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand‑up (and sit‑down) lift trucks to move products, ingredients, and supplies
• Read batch pick sheets and bills of lading to fulfill production and shipping needs
• Load and unload materials from trucks and railcars
• Connect/disconnect railcars and tankers to flow panels as needed
• Support recycling, waste, and sustainability efforts in the yard
• Maintain proper stock rotation and inventory documentation (FIFO)
• Clean up spills and maintain a safe, organized yard area
• Document daily tasks and activities per supervisor's instructions
• Follow lockout/tagout and environmental safety procedures

Requirements

• Stand‑up forklift experience required (certification preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and work outdoors in variable conditions
• Ability to read and understand shipping paperwork and safety instructions
• Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency
