About the role
Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Lyons, Illinois. The position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career in a safe supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
- Handle daily paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during peak production hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
- A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to work within a diverse work environment.
- The ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
- The ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to work using health and safety methods.
- The ability to work on flexible schedules, including various shifts.
- The ability to perform tasks within performance measurement guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.

Pay
Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour.
Schedule
Thursday - Saturday 6:00 am - 6:00 pm and every other Wednesday.
