Forklift Operator – Sofidel Duncan, SC – 2x3x2 Schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Unload material and product from incoming vehicles and distribute to assigned locations
• Avoid inventory inaccuracies and manage stock levels
• Assist with the unloading and working of broke rolls/bale trailers
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Regularly inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and ensure safety
• Communicate with converting lines and warehouse
• Move and work efficiently in different areas of the Warehouse as needed
• Collaborate with Warehouse leadership on issues and discrepancies
• Maintain a clean working environment by following procedures and housekeeping responsibilities
• Comply with lockout/tagout procedures, confined spaces, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Participate in safety incidents and help investigate root causes

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Understanding and compliance with all manufacturing safety procedures, including personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, including bending, walking, sitting, and climbing in and around machinery and equipment
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently, between 40 and 50 lbs occasionally, and over 50 lbs minimally
• Exposure to compressed air, steam, lubrication oil, dust, and hydraulic fluid
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift, weekends, and holidays, with the option to work overtime as needed
