About the role

The Associate Technician Shipping/Receiving & Distribution plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, reagents, instruments, or equipment to meet customer expectations. This position is based in Hebron, KY and involves responsibilities such as receiving, shipping, and inventory/material control.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and stores product
  • Picks and packs product for shipment
  • Sherins orders
  • Inspects materials for orders verifying accurate quantity, lot number, expiration dates and product part number
  • Creates and/or ensures appropriate documentation is completed for orders
  • Reconciles inventory and may perform cycle counts and data entry functions as assigned
  • Maintains a safe and efficient work environment
  • Identifies and solves routine problems in work area with management team
  • Aids in organizational improvement projects such as lean and quality initiatives

Requirements

  • High school degree (or equivalent)
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Strong attention to detail and safety in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Computer skills - Inventory associates use laptops daily
  • Basic computer skills are a must
  • Lifting: Up to 50 lbs, multiple times during an 8-to-10-hour shift
  • Push/Pull/Bend/Twist: Multiple times, up to 2 to 4 hours continuously during a, 8-to-10-hour shift
  • Sitting: 0% of the time
  • Standing/Walking: Approximately 2 to 4 hours continuously during an 8-to-10-hour shift
  • Climbing/Kneeling: 0% of the time
  • Hand Movement: Repetitive movement including gripping, grasping, and manipulation. Approximately 2 to 4 hours intermittently during an 8 to 10 hours shift
  • Driving/Operating Equipment: Powered equipment (Forklift, reach truck/cherry picker) is required and must be able to cross train and work in multiple areas of the facility as needed
  • Machinery: General conveyor systems and Forklift equipment
  • Environment: Exposure to cold (35 – 46 degrees F), for approx. 2.5 hours continuously during an 8-to-10-hour shift
  • Provided PPE includes; insulated/high visibility jacket, gloves, hand warming packs
  • Sitewide PPE: Steel Toe Shoes

Skills

  • Inventory experience - cycle counting experience, inventory reconciliation, scrapping out damaged product
