Forklift Operator PR04 - Shipping (1st Shift) - Berry St Plant

About the role

This position is responsible for operating a forklift in the palletizing area for production lines 1, 2, and 3.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to pick up finished pallets of product from lines 1, 2, and 3 and transport them to the freezer or shipping dock.
• Ensure the Manifestor configures the pallet in the EIM system and place the header card on the pallet.
• Wrap the pallet using the stretch wrapping machine.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid forklift operator license (certified operator).
• 3 months of food industry production experience within the last 2 years (can be combined from multiple employers).
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Former Tyson Foods team members must have a waiting period of 180 days (6 months) and a maximum of two previous employments to be considered for rehire.
• Must complete additional application tasks for hourly positions to be considered for employment.
• Background checks may be required for certain roles.

Work Environment

• Indoor facility with noisy conditions, wet floors, and cool temperatures (50°F or below).
• Adequate lighting, moving objects, and mechanical/electrical hazards present.
• Exposure to sanitizing solutions and water-based sanitizers.

Equipment

• Forklift
• Stretch wrap machines
• Personal protective equipment: hairnets, beard nets, gloves, smocks, and liners.

Skills

• On-the-job training provided.
• Forklift operation certification required.

Pay

$17.45 per hour.
