About the role

PACE Supply’s Distribution Center in Stockton, CA is currently hiring Forklift Operators for our Pipe Yard. This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move large pipe and related materials, picking, receiving, and putting away product in designated areas, using RF scanners to accurately track inventory movement, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company productivity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move large pipe and related materials.
  • Pick, receive, and put away product in designated areas.
  • Use RF scanners to accurately track inventory movement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company productivity standards.
  • Receive orders through supervisor from prepared and prioritized work tags.
  • Pull orders from inventory, manually and/or utilizing forklift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the overall facility to support safety standards, with an emphasis on the area assigned to the work-group.
  • Operate equipment such as order picker, stand up and/or reach lift, Combi lift. Utilize an RF scanner for daily tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience operating forklifts (pipe yard or heavy material handling experience a plus).
  • Able to work daily overtime as needed.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Dependable and able to thrive in a physically active role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent education.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal, written, and reading communication skills.
  • Dedication to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in time management, consistently meeting responsibilities within designated timeframes.
  • Collaborative mindset, fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external interactions with customers and manufacturers.
  • Basic math skills, including counting and performing computations up to four digits.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including keyboarding.
  • Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and oral communication.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, considering all factors and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Adherence to workplace rules, methods, policies, and procedures.

Skills

Pay details are determined at the Company's sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, qualifications, and other business considerations.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM. Must be available for daily overtime.
