Forklift Operator - Part-Time - Afternoon Shift

About the role

Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload freight using motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Operate equipment safely, adhering to safety policies. Secure freight inside trailers and utilize scanning devices for shipment tracking. Perform physical tasks including lifting objects up to 50 lbs (and sometimes more), standing, reaching, and bending. Work on a non-climate-controlled dock, often in varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move freight
• Load and unload trailers securely
• Use scanning devices for shipment tracking
• Maintain attention to detail for accurate freight handling
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, reaching, and bending

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Basic math skills
• Preferred experience in dock, warehouse, or transportation environments, especially with freight or LTL
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (and sometimes more)

Starting pay at $22.85 per hour.
