Forklift Operator - M - F 9am - 5:30pm (Urgent Need)

M – F, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

Pay

$16.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a plant, office, or warehouse.
• Maintain records as needed.
• Develop skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within a specific skill area/process/method.
• Apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks following prescribed steps.
• Work within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods while adhering to quality guidelines.
• Perform duties under general to limited supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience or related experience/training.
• Obtain and/or maintain appropriate licenses, training, or certifications as required.
• Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
• Effective communication skills understandable to co‑workers and Team Lead/Supervisor.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to operate in a metrics‑driven environment.
• General computer skills.

Physical Demands

The role requires regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, lifting, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, talking, hearing, twisting, and frequent use of hands for finger, hand, and wrist motions, including repetitive motions. Employees may need to lift and/or move over 50 lb. The position involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, vibration, occasional high or precarious places, and fumes/airborne particles. Work environment temperature varies: hot in summer (no AC) and cold in winter (limited heating). Noise level is moderate to loud.
