Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of products within the distribution center.
Job Responsibilities
- Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment)
- Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker
- Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site
- Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks
- Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes)
- Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas
- Provide backup support when required
Requirements
- Background in warehouse/distribution
- Experience with material handling equipment
- Previous fork lift driving experience
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing work environment
- Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance
- Knowledge of Manhattan WMS
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employment
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English
- Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner
- Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills
- General distribution knowledge
- Basic computer skills
- Strong initiative and drive for results
Physical Demands
- Regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hand to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers
- Occasionally required to climb
- Lifting over 50lbs in some areas but not all
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- 1 year of relevant experience, required in lieu of High School Diploma or GED

Pay Rate is $18.00 an hour
