Forklift Operator I - Urgent Need (Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.)

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of products within the distribution center.

Job Responsibilities

• Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment)
• Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker
• Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site
• Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks
• Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes)
• Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas
• Provide backup support when required

Requirements

• Background in warehouse/distribution
• Experience with material handling equipment
• Previous fork lift driving experience
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing work environment
• Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance
• Knowledge of Manhattan WMS
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employment
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English
• Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner
• Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills
• General distribution knowledge
• Basic computer skills
• Strong initiative and drive for results

Physical Demands

• Regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hand to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers
• Occasionally required to climb
• Lifting over 50lbs in some areas but not all

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• 1 year of relevant experience, required in lieu of High School Diploma or GED

Pay

Pay Rate is $18.00 an hour
