About the Role
Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company’s success. As a Forklift Operator, Formula, you will operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, etc.) to transport incoming freight, maintain inventory, and replenish pick slots while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in a multi-temperature warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Locate proper storage slots on multi-level racks and place pallets using a forklift or hand stack items; enter product data and location into the system.
- Transport incoming freight from staging areas to inventory, including freezer storage, using forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Replenish pick slots based on next day’s work orders and rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of racks.
- Remove outdated inventory and disperse over-stocked items to available temporary storage slots.
- Dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and strapping in designated receptacles; inspect, stack, and store pallets safely.
- Follow all safety policies, preferred work methods, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Report unsafe conditions, perform equipment safety checks, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards per company guidelines.
- Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks, and take corrective action as needed.
- Maintain general housekeeping in the work area.
- Recharge forklift batteries, replace them as needed, and complete vehicle inspection checklists.
- Secure equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of each shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts and required overtime.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, stack, and pull products weighing between 10–35 pounds, and occasionally up to 60–90 pounds, from various heights.
- Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, and dry).
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
