Duties/Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate 36,000 lbs forklift to move raw structural steel profiles and completed projects and on/off truck.
- Safely move large steel beams between staging areas
- Accurately stages material for loading as directed
- Label product for inventory and manufacturing
- Complete daily paperwork including inspection checklist for Forklifts
- Maintain mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and understanding of units of measure
- Work in an OUTDOOR environment for majority of shift
- Work comfortably in a team environment
- Read and interpret manifests, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Qualifications
- Prior experience with steel moving/loading/unloading safely onto equipment, and semi-trucks
- High structural steel forklift skill requirements
- Must be comfortable working outdoors
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to read and interpret manifests, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
