Forklift Operator - Dry Warehouse

Location: Harrisonburg, CPAD8 Dry Warehouse

Schedule

• 12-hour day shift: 5:00 am – 5:00 pm (rotating shift, work every other weekend)
• 12-hour night shift: 5:00 pm – 5:00 am (rotating shift, work every other weekend)

About the role

Under general supervision, the Lift Truck Operator ensures safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products and/or packaging materials using equipment including Raymond stand-up forklifts, Raymond stand-up dock loaders, and various sit-down LP trucks.

Pay

$19.15 to $21.90 per hour

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment through personal actions
• Load and unload trucks and containers using provided equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage
• Take inventory as needed
• Direct product to the correct area in the warehouse
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic; sweep area as needed
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of sit-down forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with RFID and Warehouse Management Systems
• Strong teamwork skills and self-motivation
• Ability to work overtime, days, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to read numbers and labels
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines
• Ability to safely lift up to 60 lbs. frequently
