Essential Functions
- Safely operate forklifts or any other power equipment to complete various tasks and projects assigned.
- Ensure inbound and outbound products are accurate and free of damage.
- Efficiently move products from storage to other locations in the warehouse, as well as loading and unloading trucks.
- Follow safety and health procedures including goggles, gloves, and other apparatus required for the safe completion of the job.
- Maintain plant facilities, tools and other items used in the performance of the employee’s duties.
- Follow the appropriate Hazmat clean-up and disposal procedures and immediately report all spills to supervisor.
- Any unsafe working conditions must be reported to supervisor and corrective actions must be taken before proceeding with job.
- Fabricate, repair and maintain any equipment used in manufacturing processes if requested to do so by superiors.
- Ensure all warehouse loads for the day are complete regardless of the hours of operation.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and/or two to four years related
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a forklift
- Forklift certification required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license

- Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills. Efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type and use a mouse.
- Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
- Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible. Physical Abilities
- Lift and carry up to 100 pounds in various packaging.
- Tip and move 55 gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.
- Work Environment: Chemical manufacturing environment inside and outside of metal buildings. Employee could be faced with working in temperature extremes. Must be able to work in a chemical odors environment.
- Able to lift and carry 100 pounds.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
- Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors work boots, and hardhats.
- Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
