Responsibilities
- Help with UPS and FedEx outgoing and incoming packages daily.
- Make sure that accounting gets all the paperwork for UPS and FedEx.
- Help with monthly inventory and help accounting with any questions they may have about inventory counts.
- Communicate to accounting, purchasing and inventory analyst know of any damages or credit material.
- Load and unload trailers of product, packaging or equipment and verifying that all counts of product are accurate to the bill of lading and order information.
- Inspect all inbound pallets and document quality of pallets and product on inspection report.
- Ticket and verify counts and quality of all inbound product frozen, fresh and packaging materials.
- General warehouse duties including keeping warehouse clean and orderly.
- Help with rotation of inventory to ensure that the oldest product is used first.
- Operate fork truck in safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain daily log sheets as required, such as forklift inspection sheets.
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
- Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
- One to three months related experience and/or training experience preferred in a warehouse setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training program and pass the forklift certification.
