Forklift Operator / Crane Operator
About the Role
Guardian Glass is seeking a motivated Forklift / Overhead Crane Operator to join our team in Geneva, NY. This role involves handling and moving materials using forklifts and overhead cranes, contributing to our safety, quality, and shipping goals.
Responsibilities
- Handle and move materials using forklifts and overhead cranes on and off trailers
- Operate equipment and mechanized devices utilized in daily production
- Inspect equipment, materials, and products to identify errors, problems, or defects
- Communicate and escalate problems, concerns, or improvements to supervisors, leads, and co-workers
- Perform other functions in warehouse and shipping as needed
- Communicate information to supervisors, leads, and peers in a professional manner
- Strive to improve in a continuous operation and fast-paced changing production environment
Requirements
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Experience operating a forklift
Qualifications
- Experience operating an overhead crane (preferred)
Schedule
Friday - Monday (weekend role) 6am - 3pm OR M-F 2pm-10pm shift.
Pay
Starting hourly wage is $20 an hour, commensurate with experience. $1000 Sign-On Bonus paid out at 6 months of employment.
