About the Role
This is a full-time 3rd shift position (10pm-6am) with a $1.00/hour shift differential. Overtime is required as needed. The role involves operating clamp truck and forklift equipment, handling raw materials, loading/unloading trucks and rail cars, and maintaining warehouse organization.
Responsibilities
- Operate clamp truck, forklift, bander, hand bander, and conveyor line equipment to company standards.
- Receive, unload, and load roll stock and other raw materials following company procedures.
- Work safely: report unsafe conditions, near misses, and property damage immediately.
- Maintain a clean work area, including docks, aisles, and equipment.
- Keep converting equipment lines full and machines running without delay.
- Read and understand production schedules; communicate issues to supervisors in advance.
- Handle materials efficiently to minimize damage and avoid rework.
- Cut and remove banding and dunnage for machines as directed.
- Perform daily forklift inspections as required by OSHA.
- Communicate relevant information to the oncoming shift.
- Follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures for loading and unloading trailers.
- Process, tag, and store incoming raw materials; inspect for defects.
- Inventory and organize finished products.
- Complete documentation such as load verification forms.
- Shred waste materials, ensuring proper weighing and identification.
- Operate plant PCs and systems to complete assigned tasks, including entering maintenance work requests.
- Rework spilled or unsafe bales/pallets of finished goods.
- Collaborate with other forklift drivers and communicate effectively.
- Follow procedures for tracking waste bales and quarantine product.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior forklift experience required; must pass basic forklift and clamp truck training.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to read tape measures and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and communicate with team members.
- Frequently required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Ability to climb up and down into a forklift or clamp truck to operate safely.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently exposed to ambient temperatures.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
