Forklift Operator

Schedule

1st shift, Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (8 hours per day). Adaptable to overtime, weekend work, and other scheduling requirements as needed.

Pay

Starting rate: $24.90 per hour. Rate may be adjusted based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety and housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.
• Safely operate a forklift to load and unload finished products and raw materials to/from trucks and the production line.
• Interpret customer orders to pull, stage, load, and check materials, ensuring accurate and timely shipment.
• Record shipping data and other results as required.
• Troubleshoot and apply basic maintenance skills to service equipment.
• Participate actively in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as directed by supervision.
• Adapt to scheduling requirements, including shift work, overtime, and weekend assignments when applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Capability to inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to maximize operational availability.
• Skill in interpreting verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Proficiency in accurately recording shipping data.
• Basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
• Effective teamwork and communication abilities.
• Consistent, regular attendance.
