Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials and products
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Accurately track and record inventory movement and locations
- Assist in organizing and maintaining warehouse layout for efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflow and improve processes
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and accidents
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to supervisors in a timely manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Knowledge of OSHA forklift regulations
- Certification in additional material handling equipment (e.g., cherry pickers, reach trucks)
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift operator experience in a specific industry, such as manufacturing or retail
