Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate gas or electric forklift in warehouse.
• Perform daily forklift inspections while adhering to established safety procedures.
• Move bulk from rail receiving scales using metal bins and/or totes to warehouse racks or bulk storage areas according to bulk map or shipping schedule.
• Operate rail receiving equipment (elevators, scales, etc.).
• Maintain clean and organized bulk receiving area, aisles, or rack storage; consolidate partial pallets when needed.
• Weigh, label, transport, and stage bulk received.
• Maintain receiving areas clean and organized.
• Complete rail/truck receiving related paperwork accurately and on time.
• Safely move and place rail cars on train tracks.
• Cut truck/railcar seals and report any discrepancy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years recent experience operating sit‑down and stand‑up reach forklift.
• Minimum of 2 years or more of related experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work well with all levels of employees, individually or in a team.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co‑workers, supervisory, and management personnel.
• Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
• Display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.

Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
