Forklift Operator

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Uses forklift to deliver raw or in-process material to operations, removes the finished material from the process to storage or to the next process.
• Moves scrap to the holding area for recycling and waste containers to the appropriate waste storage.
• Loads or unloads shipments.
• Reads in process tickets, finished goods tickets, and scrap tickets.
• Maintains logs, labels, etc. to ensure that materials are properly routed and that each process receives the correct material for the assigned produce.
• Follows standard work procedures and complies with all safety rules.
• Conducts daily safety checks throughout the shift while using proper PPE.

Qualifications

• Solid, stable work history with previous industrial experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic math, reading and comprehension of work instructions, and use of a computer.
• Able to Bend, Push & Pull 75 lbs, and Reach frequently.
• Able to lift or carry up to 40 lbs.
• Able to stand or walk for multiple hours consecutively.
• Able to drive powered industrial vehicles or willing to learn to drive powered industrial vehicles.

Pay

$26.50 an hour
