Forklift Operator

Duties, Tasks, And Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves.
• Move materials to and from storage areas and loading docks.
• Stack and organize products and materials in WMS designated areas.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any issues.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as required, including inventory counts, packaging, and leakers.
• Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory levels.
• Inspect containers for damage, cleanliness, and compliance with export standards.
• Work with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasks.
• Ensures compliance with safety and international shipping standards.
• Handles shipping documents (packing lists, invoices, bills of lading).
• Consolidates cargo into containers (known as container stuffing).
• Aid Warehouse Supervisor with overall management of facility.
• Assist leadership with staffing, coordinating temp workers, and liaising with partner organizations.

Education, Skills And Abilities

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Previous warehouse experience 3-5 years.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of SAP & Excel.
• Bi-Lingual preferred.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Teamwork, Dependable, and Reliable.
• Knowledge of export shipping documentation and procedures is a strong asset.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Warehouse Management System experience (WM / RF Scanner) preferred.
