About The Opportunity

Perform all tasks involved in the production of Newville products.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as assigned by management
• Transport finished jobs or goods into correct areas
• Move pallets of goods for jobs in process to appropriate area as needed
• Place finished goods which are on a designated pallet to the correct location
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Confer with managers to ensure coordination of other production lines
• Maintain a clean and safe work area by moving empty pallets to a designated area
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Work overtime and/or weekends as requested by Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
• Follow and comply with Company GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintain quality work and product

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and/or previous warehouse experience preferred
• Experience in driving a stand-up forklift
• Ability to pass certification in order to operate a forklift truck
• Ability to understand and use all applicable aspects of WMS
• Ability to perform duties while sitting, standing, walking, and lifting for certain times throughout the shift
• Ability to interpret instructions both oral and written
• Ability to produce at a high level
• Ability to work with plant management for required results
• Ability to work as part of a team

Skills

• Good eye-hand-foot coordination
• Good sense of balance
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights

Machines, Tools, Instruments, Equipment and Materials Used

• Stand-up forklifts
• SAP mobile units

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Regularly standing on a powered industrial truck
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and adjusting body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
• Working in varying temperatures, depending on the season
