Responsibilities
- Responsible for the efficient and safe operation of all powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
- Performs all warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilizes RF equipment to accurately process inbound and outbound orders and requisitions.
- Ensures all transactions are accurate in terms of item and quantity and processed accordingly.
- Performs cycle counts and assists with inventory accuracy through Quality Assurance inspections as required.
- Provides backup support for job functions within other departments.
- Performs stock consolidation to enhance inventory production performance and optimize warehouse space.
- Maintains company 5S standards throughout assigned areas of work.
- Maintains productivity and quality standards relative to job responsibilities as defined by department managers.
- Inspects and QA outbound freight to ensure correct items, quantities, and no damaged freight is shipped without manager approval.
- Palletizes and loads shipments to prevent damage during transit.
- Loads product onto LTL, TL Trailers, and Vans, and inspects all inbound freight for quantity and damage.
- Completes appropriate documentation for carriers' BOLs as per department's Standard Work Instruction.
- On a daily basis, completes forklift inspection checklists, inspects material handling equipment for proper operation, and reports any needed repairs to management.
- Conducts C-TPAT compliance inspections and documentation for all inbound and outbound international shipments.
- Maintains operational and warehouse security according to C-TPAT policy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous forklift certification for Reach, Dock stocker, or Sit down forklift.
- RF scanner experience.
- Excellent math, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
- Physical ability to perform assigned tasks requiring significant walking, standing, bending, reaching, and safely lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Ability to perform team lifts for items weighing more than 50 lbs.
- Ability to take direction and complete all work assignments within established timelines.
- Team player with the ability to work and interact with fellow coworkers.
- High degree of attention to detail and ability to prevent injury to others and property damage.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of and adherence to all department Standard Work Instructions.
