Forklift Operator

About the role

We are expanding our cold storage and looking to hire a full-time, year-round Forklift Operator to grow with our company, now in our 28th year of business. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a leading company that has achieved several high ratings for food processing standards and safety by International Audit Firms and the Military.

Responsibilities

• Move and weigh product going to and from production lines, freezers, and coolers
• Load and unload trucks
• Complete shipping and receiving paperwork
• Provide other miscellaneous general warehouse support

Schedule

Working hours are generally 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday-Friday. During peak season the job may require overtime work hours later than 4:00 pm and/or weekends. Must be available during all production hours.

Requirements

• Excellent attendance
• At least 18 years of age
• At least one year forklift experience preferred
• Some experience in a food processing or food manufacturing company preferred
• Ability to speak, read, and write English is a necessity
• Good oral and written communication skills imperative
• Clear and concise handwriting is imperative
• Excellent attention to detail and mathematical calculation skills
• Must be able to work well with others and with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs
• Ability to stand and work on your feet
• Must be able to work in a wet and cold environment
• Background check and drug test required
