Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

The Forklift Operator safely and accurately loads, unloads, stages, and moves freight using forklifts and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE). This includes operating sit-down/stand-up forklifts, moving freight between dock doors, trailers, and warehouse areas, and preparing items for shipping.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with dock coordination, sorting freight, scanning and labeling cargo, reporting damaged freight or safety issues, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The Forklift Operator also supports productivity by prioritizing freight, sometimes acting in a lead capacity, and serves as an expert on dock operations and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be certified forklift operators with knowledge of safe equipment operation, physical lifting techniques, and documentation processes
• Ability to identify freight issues, support team collaboration, and work under supervision
