About the role

Load outgoing shipments and unload incoming shipments in a timely manner. Ensure proper inventory levels within the warehouse and prepare items for shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize RK65 bar code scanners for all shipping and receiving transactions.
  • Prepare items for shipments, including pack lists, bills of lading, and sealing trailers.
  • Receive and check inbound goods for accuracy and place in proper storage locations.
  • Keep accurate records of receipts and shipments; contact shippers directly if discrepancies or damage are found.
  • Verify packing lists against POs to ensure receipt and provide to finance for payment approval.
  • Maintain required inventory levels of packaging and supplies based on the production schedule.
  • Complete powered industrial truck inspections at the start of each shift or as needed.
  • Prepare, pack, label, and shrink wrap product for shipments.
  • Replenish production pack houses with necessary dry goods related to daily production volume.
  • Organize shipments of goods between sites and from suppliers to facilities.
  • Maintain the warehouse receiving/shipping areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Establish relationships with key business partners and cross-functional team members.
  • Support and participate in inventory and cycle count activities, including reconciliation.
  • Maximize effectiveness of workspace.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure product quality.
  • Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating professionally with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Good communication, organization, time management, and mathematical skills.
  • Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Barcode scanner experience.
  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills required.
  • Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods (e.g., preparing products for packaging, packaging products, and regular inventory).
  • Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform intermediate accounting tasks (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, and weight measures).
  • Able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds unassisted (and up to 300 pounds with assistance) with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products.

Pay

Starting rate: $21.00/hour
