Forklift Operator

About the role

The Forklift Operator position at Georgia-Pacific's Corrugated facility in Kansas City, MO is seeking individuals with minimum six (6) months of sit-down forklift experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. The role involves operating a 10,000 lb. sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers, ensuring loads are properly secured and accurately recorded.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 10,000 lb. sit-down forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and in good condition.
• Affirm accurate record keeping for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
• Pull whip and raw material for production support.
• Verify receipts, load sheets, and other required paperwork.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least 8 hours a day.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) months of sit-down forklift experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or scan gun for documentation and/or record-keeping functions.

Pay

Salary: $23.96 per hour
2nd Shift Differential - three dollars per hour = $26.96
3rd Shift Differential - Two dollars per hour = $25.96
Shifts: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Starts Monday night)

Schedule

Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. Shift Hours: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Starts Monday night)
