About the role
We are searching for a motivated and experienced Forklift Operator to join Wenner Bakery, part of Europastry, a global family-owned bakery business founded in Barcelona in 1987. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate battery-powered industrial trucks, including stand-up and 3-wheel sit-down forklifts, ride-on electric jacks, and equipment with lifting devices (forklift, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform) to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products and materials.
- Follow all safety regulations established by the company, OSHA, DOT, and applicable laws.
- Position forks or lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, or materials to transport loads to designated areas.
- Supply route drivers, load trailers, and stack materials by raising and lowering lifting devices.
- Transport stock to new freezers using a Drexel.
- Record and sort shipments according to the shipping schedule.
- Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
- Recharge batteries, fill tanks, and inspect equipment before and after use.
- Report equipment issues to maintenance personnel.
- Inform supervision of any problems related to transportation, loading, or unloading of materials or equipment.
- Assist other Level 1 forklift operators with loading, unloading, or transporting products.
- Record inventory transactions on put-away or let-down sheets and update pick slips as required.
- Identify and report changes on pick slips or let-down sheets.
- Adhere to company standards for quantity and quality of work, including compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Follow all company safety policies, GMP regulations, and lock-out/tag-out requirements.
- Participate in mandatory in-house Food Safety Training and demonstrate knowledge of food safety hazards and safe food handling practices relevant to the role.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of the SQF code.
Requirements
- Ability to operate stand-up forklifts.
- Experience as a forklift operator.

Pay
Hourly wage.
Schedule
Full-time position, 18 hours per week.
