About the role
We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our growing team. This position reports to the Pad or Autoline Supervisor. Forklift Operators transport palletized product from the production area to the inventory pad and may also load flatbed trucks and customers as needed. We expect forklift operators to perform tasks safely and professionally while maintaining a courteous demeanor when engaging with customers and coworkers. A successful candidate will ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and as directed. Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport palletized product via forklift from the production area to the inventory pad.
- Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and processes related to transporting product within and from the autoline production area.
- Wear required safety gear at all times (safety toe shoes/boots, vest, hard hat, & gloves).
- Assume other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by management.
Requirements
- Forklift/Spyder experience is required (certification is required).
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Must pass a drug screen.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and walk for short periods.
- Must be able to bend and stoop throughout the workday (lifting mulch/soil bags, trash debris, etc).
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to work outside for periods of time in all weather.
- Must be able to work in a dusty environment (tolerate various types of work dust).
Schedule
Ability to work +/- 60 hours per week, including Saturdays with overtime (hours not guaranteed).
