Responsibilities
- Check-in truck drivers as part of customer service to ensure on-time shipping
- Prepare finished products for shipment to customers
- Adhere to performance standards in quality and quantity, including checking for damages and counts
- Follow warehouse receiving and shipping procedures
- Accurately record and store raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse
- Handle and record all corrugated and plastic packaging products from receipt to storage and then to production
- Maintain good housekeeping within the warehouse
- Ensure adherence to all safety practices, including forklift and dock door safety checklists
- Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or behavior
- Adhere to golden safety rules
- Act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by following ALPLA policies, procedures, and OSHA safety standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in general warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution preferred
- Experience with forklift/clamp truck machinery preferred
- Safety awareness and quality consciousness
