Forklift Operator

Howard Logistics is seeking reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operators to support warehouse and distribution operations. This role is responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, stack, and organize freight while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and warehouse safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the loading and unloading of palletized items on/off truck trailers
• Maintain safety procedures and operation of equipment
• Inter-case picking, packing, and boxing as needed and/or requested
• Shrink wrapping of palletized freight
• Order checking and counting freight (math skills required)
• Loading freight trucks with material handling equipment without damaging trailer and/or freight items
• Knowledge of building orders on pallets
• Be able to pick up 50 lbs consistently
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures

Requirements

• Warehouse experience
• RF/Scanner experience
• Sit down forklift experience (required)

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch
• Essential ability to maneuver around, in, on, and under trucks for inspection and repairs
• Repetitive movements requiring simultaneous use of hands and feet
• Shop environment with occasional extreme temperature shifts (very cold to very hot)
• Regularly getting on and off industrial lift equipment, with potential exposure to heights
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, gases, fumes, and other airborne substances
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 50 pounds to the shoulder

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Pay

$19.50/hour
