About the role

Forklift Operator – B Shift (Monday – Friday, 01:30pm – 10:00pm) at our York, PA facility. We manufacture and distribute products such as A&H Cat Litter and A&H Laundry Detergent.

This position performs all warehouse functions within our high-volume, fast-paced distribution center, including palletizing and shipping manufactured finished goods, case picking, full pallet picking, and loading outbound orders.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safety culture and awareness within the assigned area; support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments according to schedule, verifying correct SKU and quantity versus bills of lading.
  • Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and physical inventories for package materials and finished goods.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely, including stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Utilize a computerized Warehouse Management System (WMS) for all assigned work.
  • Perform single case picking using voice-to-pick software.
  • Stack case-picked pallets to allow accurate counting by consignees upon receipt.
  • Unitize product per CHD packaging specifications.
  • Verify lot codes of assigned product, including proper documentation and record keeping.
  • Load orders according to standard loading and weight patterns to minimize product damage.
  • Ensure pallets are properly labeled per customer requirements.
  • Assist with the training and certification program as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Six months of forklift experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Clear and concise communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Completion of all required training within the defined introductory period.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with stand-up forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Working Conditions

The operations are not in a climate-controlled environment. Candidates will be exposed to seasonal temperature variations and must adhere to all PPE standards and department dress code.

Pay

Hourly wage: $26.71, plus a $0.50/hour shift differential.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 01:30pm – 10:00pm.
