Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Verify and confirm counts of received goods and raw material from transfer trucks and containers, then put away on a timely manner.
- MATCH packing slips with purchase orders and receive them into the computer.
- Complete daily equipment checklists (MHE, RF, etc.) before operation.
- Load and unload trailers at the docks as assigned.
- Properly tag/label received goods.
- Pick orders that will be assigned to order pickers, palletize, and wrap accordingly then stage to a loading area as instructed.
- Absolute correct placement of pallets for outbound loading.
- Process daily assignments accurately and timely.
- Absolute ensure that all equipment is returned at the end of the shift to the designated area and placed on charge if needed.
- Meet and maintain production and quality standards.
- Sweep floors and maintain a tidy work area.
- Help to unload containers at times might be required.
- Absolute adhere to all company work rules.
- Absolute adhere to all safety rules and practices.
- Absolute maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
- Absolute other duties as assigned such as unloading containers or working in other departments.
Requirements
- One to three years experience operating reach trucks, cherry pickers, and swing reach trucks.
- Good computer skills.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Must be able to read and speak in English.
- A good work ethic and planning skills.
- Able to follow directions and communicate with others.
- Must be able to perform basic math functions.
Physical Requirements
- Lifts items up to 45 lbs.
- Physically and mentally able to work required shift.
- Ability to judge distances, and detect moving and stationary objects when transporting items in order to adhere with safety requirements.
- Recognize product types and safety/warning material (some small in size).
- Identify color-coded safety & warning areas/notices (most commonly colored yellow and red and some in small print) in order to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work in an environment that includes: seasonal heat & cold; exposure to safety areas with moving equipment; dust/dirt; noise; vibrations from equipment; lighting differences; and occasional fumes.
- Position self in order to remove or replace product and operate equipment.
- Frequently receives or exchanges information with management or other personnel regarding work requests or issues.
- Identify and react to potential hazards.
