Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
• Occasional overtime may be required

Primary Responsibilities

• General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment, operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures
• Load or unload trucks either by hand, forklift, or by pallet jack
• Adjust shipping documents accordingly
• Unload incoming material and place in proper inventory area
• Inspect incoming material for damage and accurate count
• Notify supervisor of any discrepancies or damage
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken, preferred
• Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools

Experience

• Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred
• Prior forklift experience preferred

Education, Licenses & Certifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Physical Requirements

• Moderate to heavy physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and coarse manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift
• Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to safely operate assigned machinery
