The Forklift Operator is a key member of the Franchise Operations Team responsible for utilizing a forklift for general warehouse operations, including replenishing product, loading and unloading trucks, product movement, and rotation.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks by hand or forklift.
- Move product to ensure correct rotation based on date coding.
- Validate Bills of Lading (BOLs) against actual loads and notify Inventory Coordinator of any discrepancies.
- Verify load seals against the BOL.
- Ensure loads are properly wrapped by machine or hand.
- Build pallets accurately according to loading documents.
- Adhere to current safety policies for all transport drivers.
- Maintain and swap out electric batteries and/or propane tanks.
- Assist in product movement between warehouses as requested.
- Replenish product pick areas and keep them stocked, filled, and rotated to support the picking team.
- Keep product stock areas organized, stocked, and rotated.
- Restock returned product.
- Park trucks and move vehicles as needed.
- Wear all assigned safety equipment and observe safety rules.
- Assist in general housekeeping functions within the warehouse, offices, and grounds.
- Complete other activities assigned by supervisor.
- Exhibit high ethical and moral conduct while representing Buffalo Rock Company.
- Complete assigned training curriculum, including web-based, in-house, or other provided methods.
- Take reasonable precautions to protect the Company from damages, theft, or liabilities and ensure employee and customer safety.

Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
- Forklift certification through Buffalo Rock (preferred).
- Valid Driver License with a good driving record.
- Basic knowledge of equipment/tools needed for essential tasks.

Work Environment
Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures vary from extreme heat to extreme cold, working in rain or snow, all for extended periods.

Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including slip-resistant shoes and any other PPE required by job hazard analysis.
