Forklift Operator 1st Shift

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Forklift Operator in Jackson, Tennessee. The role involves handling food products in a clean, organized warehouse using electric sit‑down forklifts and RF scanners.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day warehouse paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License certification.

Pay

Hourly rate: $17.25 per hour (paid weekly).

Schedule

Shift: 5:30 am – 6:00 pm on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.
