About the role
The Forklift Operator position within the Operations department reports directly to the General Manager. This role is full-time, working a 1st shift from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Sunday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Works the hours needed to support business goals including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Remains flexible and open-minded, performing a variety of job tasks and transitioning between them effectively.
- Absent without prior notice to supervisor can result in attendance points.

- Participates in pre-shift meetings and department meetings.

- Promotes teamwork and assists in all areas and processes within the operation as needed.
- Maintains high standards of quality work despite tight deadlines.
- Produces accurate, thorough, and professional work.
- Completes work according to the “Only Handle It Once” (OHIO) principle, ensuring work is done correctly the first time.
- Fulfills all written and verbal instructions provided by management, project leaders, etc.
- Maintains an appropriate appearance and follows the established dress code guidelines for their position.
- Follows all rules, guidelines, and practices related to safety, reporting unsafe conduct or conditions immediately to supervisor or manager.
- Meets established productivity standards specific to the account.
- Understands and applies the stocking strategy of the operations building they are assigned to.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
- Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage-free.
- Scans products accurately and ensures they match the item codes on the product, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product.
- Completes all Inbound and Outbound paperwork accurately and completely.
- Reports all product damage to their supervisor/manager.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
- Maintains inventory accuracy and reports all discrepancies to supervisor/manager.
- Knowledgeable about multiple accounts and/or job functions within the given operation.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
- Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
- Work in a non-climate controlled environment.
