Forklift Operator - 1st Shift - 7am to 3:30pm, Mon - Fri

About the role

The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the Operations Department under the supervision of the General Manager. This position requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supports business goals by working the hours needed, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Remains punctual and prepared for work, completing tasks in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.
• Maintains a positive attitude and follows company values.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and department meetings.
• Displays pride in the work area by maintaining daily housekeeping.
• Assists in all areas and processes within the operation as needed.
• Maintains high standards of quality work, producing accurate, thorough, and professional results.
• Fulfills all written and verbal instructions provided by management.
• Ensures safety by following all rules, guidelines, and practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
• Meets established productivity standards and understands the stocking strategy of the assigned operations building.
• Completes all inbound and outbound paperwork accurately and reports any product damage or discrepancies.
• Knowledge of multiple accounts and/or job functions within the given operation.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Ability to use a handheld RF Scan Device.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform tasks such as twisting, stooping, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level.
• Work in a non-climate controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least one year of experience operating a forklift.
• Experience with handheld RF Scan Devices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
