Forklift Operator 1st & 3rd2nd Shifts

About the role
As a Forklift Operator (Material Handler, Material Associate, or Loader), you will operate multidirectional or counterbalance forklifts to pick loose material orders, including lumber, panels, hardware, and engineered wood products. You may also unload incoming trucks and railcars, maintain neat and organized storage areas, and assist with other warehouse functions as needed.
- Operate forklifts in tight quarters across a 50+ acre site
- Load materials onto carts for transport to flatbed trailers
- Accurately record and scan items picked in carts
- Ensure products are damage-free
- Assist in other warehouse functions as assigned
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:15 PM, Monday – Friday (Starting pay: $20/hour)
- 3rd Shift: Sunday evening – Friday morning (Starting pay: $22/hour; higher for loader positions based on experience)
No weekends.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of forklift experience preferred but not required (except for loader positions)
- Ability to lift up to 101 lbs occasionally (Material Associates will lift 25-50 lbs regularly; Material Handlers will lift less)
- Detail-oriented and precise operation of forklifts in tight quarters
- Prior forklift certification preferred
- Attention to detail for loading materials safely
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to read and write English (preferred but not required)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer experience (trainable if none)
- Warehouse experience
Pay
- Starting pay: $20–$22/hour (higher for experienced forklift operators or loader positions)
- Pay increases every 6 months based on performance
