Forklift Operator 1- Night Shift

Description The Forklift Operator I is responsible for safely operating forklifts and pallet jacks to stage, move, store, and retrieve materials throughout warehouse operations. This position requires frequent walking and standing for extended periods while supporting production, shipping, and receiving activities. The role also involves regular communication and customer service interactions with production teams, warehouse staff, drivers, and internal customers to ensure timely and accurate material movement. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential. Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently in warehouse, dock, and production environments, including congested areasPerform significant walking throughout warehouse facilities to locate, stage, verify, and move materialsEnsure all inventory transactions are completed accurately and timely in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)Meet established performance standards for productivity, volume, and accuracyCommunicate clearly and professionally with production teams, supervisors, drivers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate material movement and prioritiesProvide responsive internal customer service by ensuring timely pick-up, delivery, and staging of materials and finished goodsMove materials accurately between bin locationsStore raw materials and finished products according to warehouse location standardsLoad and unload trailers and containers safely and efficientlyPull, stage, and deliver product to Production in a timely mannerPull, issue, and un-issue dry materials accurately based on production requirementsMaintain cleanliness and organization of dock areas, warm-up rooms, freezer warehouses, dry storage, and corrugate warehousesIdentify and communicate inventory discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to leadershipComply with all company safety policies, quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HACCP requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 5:30pm-4:00am, overtime as needed.High school diploma or TABE equivalentMinimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience preferredAbility to safely operate heavy warehouse equipmentStrong basic math skillsHigh attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitivelyAbility to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the work shiftStrong communication and customer service skillsComputer literate, with experience using warehouse management systems preferred King & Prince Seafood offers a competitive Benefits package consisting of: Health Insurance w/ Prescription drug planDental InsuranceVision InsuranceHSA or FSAShort & Long Term disability insuranceLife and AD&DWellness programEAPHoliday and Vacation paid time off401(k)Access to: Critical Illness, Accident, and Travel Assistance Insurance
