Safety & Equipment Operation
- Complete forklift safety training and obtain certification.
- Perform and document daily forklift safety inspections prior to operation.
- Demonstrate full understanding and compliance with all PPE requirements and warehouse safety standards.
- Follow all warehouse traffic patterns, safe material handling practices, and operational procedures.
- Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts under supervision while developing proficiency.
Warehouse Operations
- Conduct trailer loading and unloading activities as directed.
- Perform put-away and storage of raw materials and finished goods into assigned warehouse locations.
- Support staging and replenishment of materials to production lines.
- Assist with finished goods staging to support shipping operations.
- Support raw material returns and proper storage procedures.
System & Inventory Transactions
- Learn and execute basic SAP scanning and system transactions.
- Verify pallet quantities, product labels, and material identification with guidance.
- Follow scanning procedures to support inventory accuracy and traceability.
Cross-Training & Process Knowledge
- Develop understanding of both Raw Material and Finished Goods warehouse operations.
- Learn about the warehouse layout, storage bins, and material flow processes.
- Participate in cross-training activities to support operational flexibility between warehouse areas.
Workplace Organization
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in alignment with 5S standards.
- Follow established warehouse procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Communicate equipment issues, safety concerns, or process opportunities to supervision.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Basic computer and communication skills are required.
- The ability to safely operate material handling equipment after training is necessary.
- A strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and willingness to learn are important qualities.
- The ability to work in multiple warehouse areas as part of cross-training development is beneficial.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to lift to 50 or more lbs.
- The ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
