Forklift Driver - Day Shift

About the role

We are looking for an experienced forklift operator to move packages and materials throughout our freezer facility in Northlake, Illinois. This is a cold-environment warehouse (45 degrees) where you will operate standup forklifts, turrets, and reach trucks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper quality standards are maintained, including accurate labeling and product selection.
• Operate machinery: forklifts, standup forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Move materials to the correct departments within the warehouse.
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety guidelines.
• Work safely and efficiently at all times.
• Maintain line sanitation and perform end-of-shift cleanup.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of warehouse experience.
• Basic arithmetic and reading skills to understand instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, walk, stand for extended periods, and perform frequently repeated manual tasks.
• Ability to work in a cold environment (45 degrees).
• Basic computer skills for inventory control purposes.

Schedule

1st shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

Pay

Base hourly rate: $20.50 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
