Forklift Driver

About the role

The Forklift Driver supports and meets the daily operational requirements of the warehouse as an experienced material handler. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trailers, putting-away materials, picking product, completing daily forklift maintenance, communicating product issues, participating in cleanups, and supporting warehouse functions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers/containers utilizing a fork-lift and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) according to standard operating procedures.
• Put-away materials and accurately pick product utilizing a pick ticket and/or pick-wave.
• Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities/types of products to be shipped and the location of requested items in the warehouse.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet-Fork-lift inspection and Maintenance utilizing personal protective equipment.
• Communicate missing product or discrepancies to the DC management team.
• Support in the warehouse functions, such as, labeling, unloading containers, auditing and counting inventory as needed.
• Participate in daily cleanups.
• Perform audits of prepared shipments. Complete trailer movements for receiving purposes when required.
• Maintain staging lanes as well as audits lanes for accuracy.
• Collaborate with loaders and supervisors to relocate trailers based on assignments.
• Conduct trailer movements for receiving purposes when required.
• Maintain daily records of trailer relocations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-3 years of warehouse experience.
• Fork Lift Certification required.
• Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of compliance and safety.
• Fluent reading and writing skills.

Benefits

The hourly range for this position is $21.62 - $25.10 per hour. The base hourly rate may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states. Pay

The hourly range for this position is $21.62 - $25.10 per hour.

Schedule

Typically requires regular office hours, but may occasionally be required to work nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, hear, and see frequently.
• Must be able to reach with arms, complete repetitive motions, and climb or balance.
• Must be able to drive.
• Must be able to maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the trailer parking yard by removing debris and trash.
• Must be able to organize trailers in the yard in a systematic and efficient fashion.
• Must be able to conduct trailer movements for receiving purposes when required.
• Must be able to maintain daily records of trailer relocations.

Working Conditions

• Extreme Exposures: Some exposure to loud noises, may work in high precarious or confined places, and have occasional exposure to hazardous materials.
• Wearing PPE is frequently required.
