Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, and baling equipment
- Sort plastic materials on production lines
- De-box books and load materials into Gaylord boxes
- Cut paper rolls and process recyclable materials
- Paint, sort, and handle Gaylord boxes
- Accurately document materials loaded, unloaded, and processed
Employees are measured on productivity metrics such as tons per hour, pounds sorted (target: 15,000 lbs/day), and boxes processed. Material must be properly sorted and graded to maximize resale value and meet customer needs. This role directly supports operational efficiency, revenue growth, and accurate reporting for office staff.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL license
- At least 2 years of forklift driving experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a similar material processing environment
- Knowledge of recycling industry standards and practices
